A Du’a which is better than 7,000 Tasbih.

Mu’adh (Allah be pleased with him) reports, “After Fajr Salah there would be  an Ilmi discussion in the gathering of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would teach the Sahabah (Allah be pleased with them) many things. But I (Mu’adh) would leave straight after the Imam would say Salam.

Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) enquired, ‘O Mu’adh! You do not join us in our morning gathering’? So I excused myself by informing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that I have a habit of praying 7,000 Tasbih in the morning. If I sit somewhere then I will not be able to finish this Tasbih of mine.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied by saying, ‘Shall I not inform you of a Tasbih, by reading it once it is better than 7,000 Tasbih’?

I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to inform me. To which He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: (see du’a in Arabic in image).”

So to pray this du’a once is equal to praying 7,000 Tasbih. Hadhrat Shaykhul Hadith Mawlana Muhammad Zakariya (Allah sanctify his secret) taught all his daughters this du’a. The author of the book (Mawlana Yunus Saheb Palanpuri) writes, I asked Shaykh Zakariyya RH regarding this du’a. He said, “Wait! when I go upstairs (in the library), then come with me.” When we went, he lifted Kanzul Ummal (hadith book) and asked me to find the page.”
